Palace
Welcome to my mind.
Sharing knowledge is how we work together for a better future.
It’s an Obsidian vault, not a blog. Evergreen notes are short and grow over time, and links matter. No need to see the bigger picture if you see all that’s connected.
Take your time, this isn’t meant to be consumed quickly. Use the search bar like you would prompt an AI.
Getting around
- The brain view above is the vault’s live graph, the observatory — open it and see how everything connects. When in the pages you’ll see a smaller version on the top right, which you can open up.
- The sidebar/explorer lists every room (folder). Folders have notes to detail what’s in them, like in notion, click on any to see.
[[wikilinks]]connect notes to each other — click through, that’s the point. This vault resembles my brain: a bit messy, many different thoughts, but most are useful.- Go ahead, put some music (bottom right), get comfortable. Click on stuff, get to know the place.
The rooms
Seven of them, each a folder with a note of its own name. Open one to see what it holds.

How this vault is put together
The base for the logic is how stephango uses obsidian, bent to fit me.
- A folder is a project, and projects link each other. Folders are divided far enough that they stand on their own — not Work → AI and Cyber, but AI and Cyber straight ahead.
- Every folder has a note of the same name,
Folder/Folder.md. The address is the convention, so nothing keeps a list of them.- Notes are evergreen: short, atomic, growing over time. Anything that can be split into its own file with a clear name should be.
- A tag is something to come back to later, or a special indicator, and can apply to part of a note. A category (
categories:in the frontmatter) is for the whole note, and it is the real filing system here: a note lives in exactly one folder, but every room named in its categories lists it too. A book about persuasion sits with the relationships it is used for and still stands on the library shelf. The folder is where a note is stored; the categories are where it belongs.publish: trueis the only gate to this site, and I set it by hand. Everything else stays private, and there is a lot of it.- Excalidraw drawings are for thinking above what fits in one head — only so much can be tracked by a human brain at a time.
- More on the bases behind why this works can be found in private
- The inspiration comes from of Loci/mind palace ideas from Elementary, private, and mind organisation from Moonwalking with Einstein The Art and Science of Remembering and Chakras.
- That is the thinking. How this site is built is the machinery underneath it — the fork, the plugins I wrote, and how the private half stays private.
