What each plugin is for and how I use it. Human setup notes live in README, vault rules in AGENTS.
Enabled
- Smart Composer — AI chat with note context and one-click edits. Can edit files on phone, connects with your subscriptions. Also used to suggest links (as many as make sense — not one more).
- Smart Connections — AI link discovery: related notes appear while writing, semantic search across the vault. Local embeddings, no API keys, private.
- Excalidraw — used to think and represent at a greater level than a brain can track at once. Amazing, but should be specialized for mind maps. A project folder may have one drawing organizing everything.
- Folder Notes — every folder (project) gets a note under the same name that gives extra context on it, accessible without collapsing the folder. These are the entry points.
- Recent Files — lists files by most recently opened.
- Reminder — reminders from checklist dates: use with a todo and
(@date). - Publish url — copies a page’s Obsidian Publish URL to the clipboard, to share published pages quickly.
