I believe it does not make sense to ask ourselves if God actually exists. God is not a rational thing, it is a matter of spirit, or emotions, of hope, of love.
So we should view it differently: does it benefit us to believe in God?
I believe that the answer is yes, and this comes from a hardened ex non believer. I believe that if you don’t have one thing you put above all others, one thing that does not let something disrupt the balance of your life, that is a problem. For me, at least.
Because you might get lost in work. In dating, friends, whatever else. And lose your footing, your health, your balance. I need to grant it to them, religion does seem to work.
I have multiple interpretations for God, I believe all of them can be true.
Are we part of God?
Major religions surely seem to worship the same God to me. And that is my definition by the way.
This feels like God to me classical music though maybe this will offend some. God is in every music, in every breath, and in every sight we have, by the definition of God. But some beauty, calmness, etc, it is tempting to associate God with.
