Made in Asia. Terracotta Army. India. China and Japan.
I’ve been to Asia twice, and both times, I came back changed.
I feel like that story ought to be here.
The first trip to India feels like a lifetime ago. I made the most of it and it wasn’t easy. Thankfully I’m lucky, and there were always kind souls offering a smile.
I’ve told that story many times before. But not everything…
At the start of my journey, I told a monk I was traveling to find myself. If memory serves he said, “You won’t find it unless you journey within.” and gave me books to read. I didn’t understand then.
The second journey is perhaps not over yet.
Of course the countries were amazing, the views breathtaking, the friends many and the food delicious!
But that’s not all.
Maybe this time, I learned how to be myself
Socrates said the unexamined life is not worth living
But I say the full life sure is worth living by itself!
