Japan!

Each picture has its story, some of which I’d forgotten, until now…
Let me give you a glimpse of the journey.

I arrived in Tokyo, guided by a helping hand. There I found a different way to live, amazing museums and architecture.
I even drank buddhist drinks!
Japan was full of beautiful nature and hikes, like in Kyoto. Whenever I saw a mountain on my way, I just had to climb it!
I was even able to give a helping hand back in Wajima, and make meaningful connections there and in Kobe, Osaka and more!
Amazing friends, that made the trip all the more memorable. Mount Fuji was more beautiful thanks to the company. The deer of Nara… Many spontaneous friends for a day, too.
Of course, these stories are better told in person!

But was the sun always shining, in the country of the rising sun? Let me be real, as I always try to be.

I was studying at night, traveling with a backpack by day, and making friends at the same time, sometimes lonely. For the first time, it was almost too much to handle.
Maybe at times, it was. For a long time, I pushed, and kept pushing further. Additional worries did nothing to help.
But then… When all I had to do was done, when I understood life is more of a marathon than a race (took a few tries), I started learning how to slow down and stay longer in the onsen.
It only took doing all online presentations, biking 100km and more… Unfortunately, it was a bit too late by then.
After some time it became obvious I had to come back home.

It was a miracle I didn’t fail any exams. I didn’t realize, but I was lost for a while. I read many books, listened to the silence, and eventually found my way again, in an amazing community, back with true friends.
As Camus said… “In the depths of winter, I found that within me lays an eternal summer.”
I’ll show you
