Let’s take a minute to remember that nothing is set.
What we think of as normal, beautiful, etc. It’s just a thing of our time and our upbringing. We can change how we see things.
Greek beauty was different.
How we see ourselves is not the same as how others see us.
I believe beauty is in the heart first.
Don’t cling to artificially set standards telling you what to do and like.
Don’t forget that anyone mocking has an issue with themselves only, as per Jung and the shadow.
But yes beauty is somewhat defined, your body is one of the few things I’d avoid changing without careful consideration of why, don’t do things for others or for the wrong identity.
Don’t be with someone just for their look or body. If you love, anyone is beautiful. But if you crave, I doubt who is for long.
These seem to be an even bigger issue for women, at least in our society where they can be objectified (imagine a man in the same postures)
And social media doesn’t seem to be helping with this.
